Burt's Visit to Switzerland, Christmas 2004

OK you say, why take this picture? Samantha says unemployment in Switzerland is almost non-existent, why? Because everyone makes at least $40,000 a year, no matter if they clean the streets, as above. This may be the reason everything is so expensive.

These are CD's displayed, why take a picture of this? Because these expensive CDs are displayed OUTSIDE. They trust that no one will ever take them because the Swiss are honest. I rarely saw any police, nor heard any sirens. Samantha says nothing ever happens. She frequently walks home from work near midnight as she says no one would ever do anything.

In the glacier Museum, the hall of Mirrors, except there are only three mirrors.

Why take a picture of a walk light? The Swiss are very strict, you do take your life in your hand by crossing against the light but not because you will get run over. Samantha once crossed against the light and a Swiss citizen came up to her and said she was was causing the downfall of Swiss society.

This is the wall the partially encircles the Old City in Lucerne.

Christmas in the Old City in Lucerne, the only thing that is not expensive here as elsewhere in the world are Swiss Army Knives

I guess there is truth in Swiss society, you play the Lottery, you lose

Lucerne as I viewed it from a nearby mountain

These signs are all over, they tell you how many parking spaces are left in each lot

The bridge Samantha walks over on the way to work. What a horrible commute, I bet she wishes she was back in Boston.

My daughter the electrician, she believes her new power screw driver will penetrate diamonds
